PD + Climate / Biodiversity Action Committee – Call for Volunteers

The Maryland ASLA Chapter is seeking passionate and motivated volunteers to join our Professional Development (PD) + Climate / Biodiversity Action Committee.

This committee brings together members interested in advancing climate-responsive design, promoting biodiversity, and expanding meaningful professional development opportunities across the chapter. Whether your interests lie in education, advocacy, event planning, or environmental leadership, we welcome your involvement.

Meeting Schedule

Virtual meetings are held every two weeks for approximately one hour.

2026–2027 Initiatives Include:

• Development of the 2027 Regional Conference (theme development, call for topics, and presentations)

• Expansion of continuing education programming, including in-field tours and lectures

• Development of the second Climate / Biodiversity Action Plan Challenge (2027)

• Coordination and involvement in 2026 Park(ING) Day (Theme: Biodiversity)
