Job Posting: Mahan Rykiel Associates Seeks Entry Level Landscape Designer

Mahan Rykiel Associates (MRA) is currently seeking an entry-level landscape designer, with an emphasis on project design and communication skills to join our growing project team. As a new member to our team, you can expect a diverse role within our office that allows you to collaborate with each of our design studios and project teams. You will have the opportunity to work within all phases of design process from conceptual design through construction documents and implementation. Candidates will work closely with senior designers and project managers on multiple projects, which will require strong communication and organizational skills. Our practice is diverse, with projects that span a diverse range of markets, scales and types with a portfolio that includes institutional and academic work, housing, hospitality, retail/mixed-use, parks, urban planning, resiliency, research and transportation.

What we are looking for:

Experience (Entry Level: 0-2 years of experience):

• Graduating in the Spring of 2021 with a degree in landscape architecture;

• or a recent graduate of an accredited landscape architecture program.

Skills & Expectations

• Demonstrated Experience in 3D Modeling (Rhino, SketchUp, Lumion, and Enscape)

• Proficient in AutoCad and Revit

• Demonstrated Experience Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)

• Collaborative Thinking and Design

• Prior Internship Experience (not required, but a plus)

• Design coordination with internal and external design teams and consultants

• Strong verbal communication and writing skills (English)

• Development of construction drawings

• Preparation of conceptual design presentations and drawings

• Support mid-level and senior-level staff during all phases of design
