Floura Teeter Landscape Architects, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Landscape Architect to join our innovative and collaborative team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and delivery of projects of the highest quality across a wide range of sectors.

About the Role

The successful candidate will bring strong design, graphic, and technical skills to support all phases of project delivery—from conceptual design through construction administration. We are seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and values both independent initiative and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

• Education & Licensure: Accredited degree in Landscape Architecture and active Landscape Architect license (required).

• Experience: 5–10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, urban design, or environmental design. Experience with institutional, mixed-use/retail, campus, commercial, housing, and environmental projects preferred.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Strong skills in site design, ecology, grading, drainage, planting design, construction detailing, and construction administration.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and SketchUp (experience with MicroStation, Revit, and ArcMap a plus).

  • Familiarity with specification writing and MasterSpec.

  • Experience with preparing construction documents, specifications, cost estimates, construction administration and QA/QC reviews.

• Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary coordination.

  • Ability to mentor junior staff and maintain design integrity and graphic consistency across projects.

  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Other Requirements:

  • Ability to prepare fees and scopes of service for landscape architecture projects.

  • Ability to manage time effectively and self-edit work.

  • Willingness to attend events and participate in business development activities.

  • Travel within the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast Corridor as needed.

Desired Qualities

We value a strong design sensibility, proficiency with both digital and hand graphics, and excellent presentation skills. Initiative, enthusiasm, creativity, and a collaborative “can-do” attitude are essential.
