Each year aspiring Landscape Architects embark on the process to become licensed.  The Landscape Architect Registration Exam--aka the L.A.R.E.--determines whether applicants possess sufficient knowledge, skills and abilities to provide services that enhance the health, safety and welfare of the public.

Between exam costs and licensing fees, the total expense to become licensed can reach nearly $3,000—posing a significant barrier, especially for younger professionals in small offices or public service roles.

As part of Maryland ASLA's mission to advance the profession and increase registered landscape architects in the State of Maryland, we are establishing the L.A.R.E. Support Fund to mitigate these financial obstacles for aspiring professionals.

Please consider supporting this cause!
