This is a subcontracting (SC) opportunity for Landscape Design. Perfect for a Design Professional who does not like to, or would rather not sell the work, looking to add more profitable part-time work. Please check the website link below and testimonials.
Small but established (20 years) Landscape General Contractor (GC) serving the greater northern Baltimore County metropolitan area, seeking Landscape Designer partner to help grow the design-and-planting business. GC and SC will have a mutually agreed-upon and signed contractual arrangement.
The current market is Residential, with ongoing growth happening in Commercial work.
The SC sets its price to do all of the following, or on a negotiated basis, most of the following.
Flexibility is key, but this is how it will generally work.
1. GC provides a qualified lead under contract with the customer. GC introduces the SC Designer to the customer.
2. SC visits with the lead for a consultation and chooses appropriate plant materials (good customer relationship skills are a must).
(Deer resistant, sun/shade tolerances, Color/Height preference, soil adaptability, etc.)
3. SC receives a deposit and then draws the design and gets it approved by the customer. (Designer also responsible for Outdoor structures, Hardscaping, Drainage notations, and Outdoor Amenities, where applicable.)
Once the Design is complete and the customer is satisfied with it, GC sells the installation and puts that under contract.
4. SC selects all QUALITY plant material at the Nursery (s) for delivery on the day of installation.
5. SC places plants per the design for the installation crew on the day of delivery. SC remains available for questions at this stage.
6. GC provides the Installation crew to complete the work.
7. GC ensures final customer satisfaction; then the balance of monies owed is paid to SC.
