Call for Associate Member Representative

The Maryland ASLA Chapter is seeking an additional Associate Member Representative (formerly Junior Professional Representative) to serve on the Chapter’s Executive Committee for a one-year term.

This role is designed to strengthen connections between the Chapter and recent graduates and emerging professionals, providing a meaningful opportunity to shape programming, expand professional networks, and gain valuable leadership experience.

Why Serve?

• Play an active role in Chapter leadership and decision-making

• Help plan and promote at least one event geared toward recent graduates and young professionals

• Collaborate with Chapter leadership and contribute to communications and outreach

• Gain visibility, mentorship, and hands-on experience within ASLA

  
  

Added Benefit: To support participation, the Maryland ASLA Chapter will reimburse the selected appointee’s full ASLA Associate Membership dues—including both national and chapter dues—for the year of service.

Eligibility

• Graduate of an LAAB-accredited landscape architecture degree program

• Current ASLA Associate Member

• No more than three (3) years of post-graduation professional experience

• Willing to attend at least six Executive Committee meetings, plus one annual business, strategic planning, or budget-related meeting
