Happy April MDASLA friends and colleagues,
Spring is in the air. As I am writing this letter, I have my windows fully open and can hear the birds outside my window; I hope everyone has a chance to take a break after reading this letter to enjoy it!
This month is chalk full of events that are rapidly approaching! I hope to see many of you there! Take a close look at the newsletter so you don’t miss anything! The Gala taking place May 3rd will feature an exciting speaker from National that will share with us the ins and outs of what is going on around the country throughout the organization! I would also like to take a moment to acknowledge that our licensure has officially been renewed and signed into law by Wes Moore as of yesterday. We would like to thank our partners on the legislative committee and our lobbyist, Jack Neil, for making that happen without any hiccups. As licensure gets attacks from other state governments, we can be assured that our profession is protected and thriving! Now we can focus on the actual work at hand, creating better, more resilient communities for all!
