ASLA K-12 Wish List: Bring a Teacher’s Wish to Life

At ASLA’s recent Design Academy for K–12 Educators, teachers shared heartfelt wish lists of items that would inspire and support their students. Their requests were simple but powerful—reminding us that even small contributions can make a big difference in a student’s day.

Now, we have an opportunity as the Maryland Chapter to step in and help make these classroom dreams a reality.

Maryland School Wish List

Bullis – Potomac, MD

  • Great books

  • Art & creative experiences

  • Mindfulness tools

  • Academic choices

  • Purposeful learning resources

  • Large vertical whiteboards

  • Plants & living things

  • “Chill out” corners

By sponsoring one or more of these items, you’re not just providing supplies—you’re showing teachers that they are seen, valued, and supported by our landscape architecture community. Together, we can inspire the next generation and strengthen our connection with educators.

How You Can Help

  1. Choose an item (or several!) from the Maryland wish list above.

  2. Let us know what you’d like to support, and we’ll connect you directly with the teacher.

  3. For convenience, items can be purchased through Amazon once your selection is confirmed.

This is more than a donation—it’s a chance to spark creativity, foster purposeful learning, and bring joy into the classroom.

Let’s come together as a chapter and show how Maryland ASLA can make an impact where it truly matters: in the lives of students and their teachers.
