Dear friends and colleagues,
As the new school year begins, this is a great reminder and opportunity about ASLA’s free membership programs for students of both undergraduate and graduate programs. We are fortunate to have 2 fantastic programs in our great state, University of Maryland, and Morgan State. As long as you are a student, you will be able to access all the membership benefits that ASLA has to offer. Also, it’s a great time to get involved. Both programs have Student Chapters that are directly connected to Maryland ASLA. Talk to your professors to learn more about how to get involved and how to be better connected with MDASLA.
Speaking of getting involved, we are having our Annual Planning Day on Sunday, October 1 from 9:30 – 4pm hosted at Floura Teeter’s new office space to go over next year’s slate of programming and committee work. It is an important day to set the goals and objectives for the coming year. We have a record number of folks wanting to get involved in committee work, which is amazing, and I know the next board, which begins at the end of October, will take the chapter to new heights. Please RSVP to Lauren Hill at director@marylandasla.org to let us know you will be attending. We can’t wait to see what this new year will bring to our chapter!
