MDASLA EMERGING PROFESSIONAL AWARD
Purpose:
To recognize and celebrate an individual who has demonstrated exceptional passion and commitment to the profession of landscape architecture, the community community, and/or a firm in the State of Maryland; in the early stage of their professional life.
Eligibility:
The individual must have five (5) or less years of professional experience and have a degree from an accredited landscape architecture undergraduate or graduate program.
The individual must practice in Maryland and be an active MDASLA member.
Frequency:
One individual will be recognized every year.
Nomination Criteria:
Nominations may be made by any individual or organization
Confidentiality:
Nominations are to be kept confidential. Nominees should not be made aware of their nominations or asked to participate in the preparation of their nomination materials.
Nomination Contents:
A brief narrative describing the nominee's qualifications for the Award; the letter may be no more than 200 words in length
Nominee’s graduation year
Include up to five (5) images representing the nominee’s work
Portrait style photo of nominee
Up to five (5) quotes of endorsement in addition to narrative
Nominee contact details – current email, address, and phone number, including current title and firm/organization
Submission Process:
All nominations must be submitted as a high resolution pdf not (exceeding 10 mb) and sent via email to director@marylandasla.org and president@marylandasla.org
Email subject line must read "MDASLA EMERGING PROFESSIONAL AWARD ".
Selection Process:
The Executive Committee will review and select the recipient of this award.
The award will be conferred at the MDASLA Awards Gala.
MDASLA MID-CAREER PROFESSIONAL AWARD
Purpose:
To recognize and celebrate an individual who has demonstrated exceptional passion and commitment to the profession of landscape architecture, the community community, and/or a firm in the State of Maryland; in the middle stage of their professional life.
Eligibility:
The individual must have between 15 to 25 years of professional experience and have a degree from an accredited landscape architecture undergraduate or graduate program.
The individual must practice in Maryland and be an active MDASLA member.
Frequency:
One individual will be recognized every year.

Nominations may be made by any individual or organization
