NEW EXTENDED DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS: JULY 14, 2021
All positions require attendance at monthly MDASLA ExComm meetings and include the duties outlined in our by-laws.
The position of Trustee requires travel to two annual meetings: Spring Chapter Presidents Council Meeting or Board of Trustees Meeting, respectively (typically held in Washington, DC) and Fall Chapter Presidents Council Meeting or Board of Trustees Meeting held just prior to, and at the location of, the ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture. Certain expenses associated with these trips (travel, accommodations, some meals) are reimbursed in part by ASLA and in part by the chapter. Participation in the annual ASLA Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill, as part of the Spring meeting, is also required.
OPEN ELECTED POSITIONS Board positions that are up for election include:
Secretary (1-year term)
5 Member-at-Large positions (1-year term)
5 Affiliate-at-Large positions (1-year term, non-voting)

OPEN COMMITTEE POSITIONS Committee positions are not elected but are appointed by the Executive Committee. We are always looking for volunteers to get involved in tasks big and small, but especially for the following positions:
Membership Committee Chair
Public Practice Representative
Junior Professional Representative
Annual Conference Planning Committee Members
Awards Planning Committee Members
Newly elected 2021-2022 chapter officers take office on November 23rd; the term is 11/23/2021 through 11/08/22
