NEW EVENT: Collaborative Workflows for Landscape Architects

JANUARY 21 12:30-1:30 PM 1 LA CES PDH

A landscape architects’ workflow is more multi-disciplinary now than ever before. Join Stephen Schrader, PLA, ASLA, GRP, landscape architect, Renta Urban Land Design as he walks you through a multi-family development project in North Georgia. Learn how to set up drawings, integrate architectural and civil plans, utilize smart objects to capture project data and enhance presentations, make use of worksheets to report design document data, and learn best practices for sharing data with the appropriate design teams to maximize efficiencies.

Learning Objectives:

• Set up a Vectorworks drawing file prepared for updating civil site plans and architectural floor plans.

• Plan drawings to transition from presentation drawings into working drawings [and back].

• Apply database, reporting, and spreadsheet functions in worksheets to derive site data from the geometry and smart objects in a CAD drawing to create construction cost estimates or demonstrate code compliance, and to speed calculation tasks and reduce errors.

• Work with drawing file sharing needs across the design team, while preserving data generated in the design process. REGISTER HERE
