About this event The Friends of Maryland’s Olmsted Parks and Landscapes invites you to join us for our Olmsted 200-year annual meeting. We will feature a presentation by Charles Birnbaum, “The Olmsted in All of Us”, and highlight exciting recent advancements in our archival work. As the 200th anniversary of Frederick Law Olmsted’s birth is celebrated, what is the true legacy of Olmsted’s career as a designer, planner, educator, reformer, advocate, activist, inventor, innovator, and influencer for today’s society? Diving deep into the meaning of the Olmsted renaissance, Birnbaum’s lecture will conclude with a call to action for the next generation of research and practice, recognizing that the deeper they go, the more relevant Olmsted’s legacy becomes.

We’re excited to offer LACES credits for this presentation. Please indicate at registration your interest in receiving these credits. We also have a limited number of event ticket scholarships for current students. Please email Jennifer@pattersonpark.com with your request.
